Allowed carry-on items of Delta Air Lines
Many items are permitted as carry-on baggage and personal belongings when traveling, but restrictions must be taken into account for safety reasons. Most countries regulate the size of containers containing liquids, gels, aerosols, pastes, etc. (including some empty containers) during security screening. Pack ahead and place large liquid items in your checked baggage.
- For liquid, gel, aerosol, and paste items, each container must be no larger than 3.4 ounces / 100 ml.
- Please place all items in one quart-sized clear Ziploc plastic bag.
- When going through security, please remove the quart-sized plastic bag from your carry-on baggage and place it in the provided container.
Liquids, gels, aerosols and pastes include beverages, creams, hair gels, hair sprays, shampoos, sunscreens, toothpastes or similar items. There are special regulations that the TSA typically implements for essential items such as medications, breast milk, juice, and infant formula. In this case, special screening may be performed for the user's convenience.
